A qualified inspector or service provider may examine cables, sheaves, brakes, rails, anchors, landing equipment, gate interlocks, limit switches, controls, and emergency communication equipment.
They also look for misalignment, worn moving components, loose connections, and conditions hidden behind covers or inside control equipment. The right person has training and tools for the particular make and model.
